On October 19, 2008, ACHS will be holding an art auction to benefit the shelter.
Over forty local artists, including Woody Jackson and Sean Callahan, have graciously
agreed to donate a piece of art for our event.
The Vermont Art Council (the same organization who sponsored the Palettes of Vermont a few years
ago) is hosting the "ART Fits Vermont", a statewide community arts project that’s greater then the
sum of its parts! This year, ACHS is honored to be the recipient agency for Addison County.
The event is being coordinated by Francis Stevens from the Middlebury Antique Center, who has
generously donated his time and effort to help us raise money for the animals.
We are very fortunate to have so many wonderfully talented and generous artists participating
in this event this year. All of the artists will complete a piece of art on a "jig-saw puzzle" shaped
wood medium which will then be auctioned to benefit ACHS. The art pieces will be on display at the
Middlebury Antique Center until the day of the auction—stop by and check them out!
The auction will be held at the American Legion Hall in Middlebury on October 19, 2008 from
5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Great food and fun for all...Please come out, bring your friends and family,
support ACHS and pick up a wonderful piece of art for yourself!
ON BEHALF OF ALL OF OUR OTHER FRIENDS AT THE SHELTER, PLEASE COME OUT AND SUPPORT THE ARTIST AND THE AUCTION!
Please feel free to contact Jackie Rose, Executive Director for any additional information.
